As I am sure you are all aware, the government are raising the level of VAT back to 17.5% on January 1st 2010. In order to make this transition as easy as possible we have implemented the following protocols :
Automatic Emporio Updates:
1. The creation of a new 17.5% VAT entry (if this currently does not exist in your database)
2. The update of all your current 15% VAT items to the new 17.5% VAT entry
These updates will happen automatically around 7am on January 1st 2010, and will ensure that your system is calculating the correct amount of VAT on all of your sales and returns.
It is important to ensure that your Till's PC is left on, if switched off - the update will not run.
If you also wish to increase your prices to accommodate the change in VAT; please see the attached PDF which explains how to achieve this.
Please ensure that you make this change after January 1st but before you start trading.

2nd January 2010: 9am to 5.30pm (Emergency Support only)
3rd January 2010: Closed
4th January 2010: Open as normal
